How To Hold A Pole

Holding your pole correctly will ensure that you are comfortable and don’t get problems with your back while fishing. Once you have shipped out your pole and lifted your rig up to straighten it out, place the rig in the water and rest your elbow on the end of the pole. Having your forearm resting along the pole will give you more control over the pole if it is windy. Rest the pole over your knees for even more comfort. This will allow you to strike quickly at super-fast bites and make shipping back to land your fish much simpler.
