Go Fishing!

Here at Club Korum, we just want to get people fishing. Here, you'll find out all about the latest fishing events and open days around the UK.

If you've wanted to try fishing, but didn’t know where to start, look no further than Club Korum.

We don’t run angling courses ourselves, but will be present a number of events around the UK every year. We also know plenty of great organisations who we are working with to help show you the ropes and provide a great day's fishing.

With bespoke events designed for newcomers, and improving anglers who want to boost their skills, all run by qualified coaches, you can enjoy fishing in a safe and secure environment no matter what age you are.

Take your friends and family for a great day out!

FISH CAMP - Club Korum and Improve Your Coarse Fishing

If you've ever wanted to appear in Improve Your Coarse Fishing magazine and get expert tuition, now you can with Fish Camp!

We've kicked off the campaign in conjunction with the magazine, so every reader can 'Come Fishing With Us' for just £15 per day.

Sponsored by Preston Innovation and Korum, each event offers you the chance to learn from a selection experts like Tom Pickering, Des Shipp, Nigel Botherway, Andy Findlay, Dai Gribble and Phil Spinks. Use any method you like, or let us show you how!

Anyone can join in, young and not-so-young, male or female, expert or novice. Please come along. The events are spread around the country and will take place throughout the summer. Different anglers will be present at each event – see our website or Facebook page close to each event for full info!

The Fishing Academy - Club Korum

The Fishing Academy is a charity working in partnership with Club Korum to provide fishing at an early age to give children focus and divert them away from a potential life as a young offender. The aim of the initiative is ultimately to provide a pastime with which the children can participate in during their own time, particularly school holidays and the lighter summer nights, taking them away from the streets and the influencing factors that have caused their inappropriate behaviour.

The Academy is intended to divert potential offenders away from the factors that are influencing their behaviour and encourage them to become responsible and trustworthy members of society through the sport of fishing. The initiative will also provide the facility to reward youngsters who have done well in terms of schooling or community work, as well as providing a fishing facility for disabled groups.

One of the main targets in relation to the management of young offenders is that of stopping the offending before its starts.
The initiative also offers a degree of education associated with fishing, countryside and the environment through associated learning and on site projects. Find out more on the website.

National Fishing Month

This year, National Fishing Month will begin on the 20th July, and conclude on the 27th August. As in previous years, the idea is to encourage every family member to have a go at fishing from whatever cultural or social background they may be from. Fishery owners, organisers and angling coaches give up their valuable time to support this initiative. Club Korum will be at the fantastic Whiteacres Fishery during National Fishing Month with a host of our top angling consultants and coaches. See the Whiteacres website for details...
